Tech Fairness Fund

Tech Fairness Fund – A Launchpad for Responsible Innovation

Mission: Support forward-looking, FAIR3-aligned projects—tools, protocols, research, and communities that center fairness, justice, and governance transparency in their tech.

Priority Areas:

  • AI fairness and auditability tools

  • Decentralized identity and governance frameworks

  • Open source legal/ethical license projects

  • Open infrastructure for public interest tech (e.g., climate, health, education)

Example Project:

  • A decentralized proposal system for OSS communities that allows anonymous participation, weighted voting, and multilingual interfaces (supporting democratic autonomy in diverse contexts).

Tech Fairness Fund provides:

  • Early-stage seed grants (~$5k–$50k)

  • Mentorship network of governance experts, UI researchers, and social scientists

  • Evaluation metrics based on transparency and public benefit, not just “growth”
